The standard full system provides a quick disconnect fitting for the generator cap and a permanent thread connection for the tank that keeps the hose connected to the tank at all times. That is inconvenient when transporting the tank to be refilled - the attached hose is always in the way. I wanted quick disconnect fittings on both the generator cap and the tank. The quick disconnect fittings are unavailable separately. They are available only with this kit. The solution is to use two hoses with the threaded ends connected with a ¼” brass coupling. That really is better than trying to install a separate quick fitting into the hose - less chance for a leak. Now a male quick disconnect fitting can be installed on the tank. And we have quick disconnect fittings on both ends But wait! What if you have two tanks? You need two kits if you want quick disconnect fittings on both tanks. The second kit allows you to connect both tanks to the generator by using a ¼” brass TEE to connect all three hoses. And you have quick disconnect fittings everywhere. These are really quality products.

We needed very extended run time for a generator and this kit helped us do that! 2 12 gallon to 1 Honda e2000 now allows 2 week run times in eco mode

This is a high quality product - if I were to guess these are aircraft quality. The snap positively and are not large and obnoxious . No leaks. Good value.
